Volunteer Opportunities

Just a couple of hours a week can make a real difference in the life of a young person. As a volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County, it can make a real difference in yours too. There are several ways for you to get involved.

Mentoring -  We match adult volunteers to be mentors to individual club members.  Mentors meet with their matched member at the club for 60 minutes on a weekday evening for the entire academic year.  Mentors and members engage in a variety of activities in group settings, such as playing games and sports, doing homework and art projects, sharing general life experiences as well as field trips.

General Club Volunteer -  We are always in need of dedicated volunteers on weekdays between the hours of 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to help run programs and assist with general club duties.  The needs vary and fluctuate throughout the year.  If you are interested in helping, please stop in and fill out a volunteer application.  Volunteers are processed and scheduled for orientation each January, June and September.  We ask that you commit to volunteering a minimum of 1-3 hours each week.

Supply Drives -  For individuals and organizations who lack time but are still looking for ways to support the club, we are always in need of new school supplies, holiday toys, sporting equipment, games, crafts and other supplies that make the club a vibrant and special for young people.

Board of Directors or Committee Members -  Serve on one of our various committees lead by board members including Resource Development, Finance, Marketing, and Building & Grounds Assist with planning and implementing special events for club members and/or fundraisers or serve as a volunteer solicitor for our "It Just Takes One Campaign" annual fund drive.

Have a Special Talent or Hobby? - The Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County is always looking for individuals or groups interested in assisting with club programming.  We run the following programs: sports and fitness, technology, the arts, health and life skills, leadership and character development, education & career development.
